Former Kushtia MP Sarwar Jahan arrested in Dhaka
Former MP from Kushtia-1 constituency AKM Sarwar Jahan alias Badsha has been arrested.
Sarwar Jahan was arrested from the Bashila area of Mohammadpur in the capital on Tuesday afternoon. Mohammadpur Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Hafizur Rahman told Prothom Alo about this.

Hafizur Rahman told Prothom Alo that Sarwar Jahan is accused of attacking students and the public during the July mass uprising. His involvement in the investigation into the attack and murder of students in Mohammadpur has been found. Apart from this, there are also allegations of corruption against him.
Further action will now be taken against Sarwar Jahan according to the law, said Mohammadpur Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Hafizur Rahman.
